Delegation from the Macau Goldsmith’s Guild Visited Aaron Shum Jewelry
A delegation of 8 members from the Macau Goldsmith’s Guild paid a visit to Aaron Shum Jewelry New Head office on 22nd October. The delegation was headed by its president of Executive Committee, Mr Lei Chi Fong, accompanied by other members including its treasurer Mr Kenny Lee and its committee member, Mr Ip Im Kuong and its member Mr Hugo Tsang etc.
During their visit, Mr Aaron Shum, President of Aaron Shum Jewelry, gave a presentation on “Our Brand Our Story”, which outlined the development of Aaron Shum Jewelry and the accomplishments of its flagship brand Coronet Solitaire had achieved. Mr Shum shared his early miserable experience of being oppressed by giant enterprises due to the lack of brand protection and how he learnt from the lessons and successfully established the world-wide patented brand, Coronet Solitaire, which became the first and only jewelry product brand that received the prestigious “Hong Kong Top Brand” award. The guests expressed great respect and admiration to the company’s relentless pursuit of brand development.
Meanwhile, Mr Lei Chi Fong also introduced the rapid development of Macau jewelry industry since the handover to Mainland China. The rapid rise in the number of Mainland visitors contribute to the strong growth in the jewelry retail sector. With support from the Labour Affairs Bureau, more training courses were provided to the jewelry practitioners to enrich their knowledge. Also, with the development of the Hengqin Island, the construction of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and the more extensive airline network operated by Macau International Airport, a continuing prosperous prospect for the Macau jewelry industry is foreseeable.
